Abstract

This study aims to determine the cooperation between teachers and parents in observing children's independent attitudes during the learning process in class. The method used is descriptive method with a qualitative approach, the location of this research is SD Negeri Purwosuman 5. The research subjects were the principal, the class teacher, the parents of the students. Data analysis was carried out by reviewing existing data then reducing data, presenting data and drawing conclusions. From the results of research and data analysis that the collaboration between teachers and parents at SD Negeri Purwosuman 5 is very good in collaborating to achieve the objectives. It is hoped that the efforts made by the SD Purwosuman 5 school are very supportive in the process of cooperation carried out by the school with parents of students in monitoring the attitude of independence of children during the learning process in the classroom that a) parenting styles from parents and teachers and a good environment will affect the development of children's independent attitudes; b) factors that support the active participation of parents in collaborating with the school by being active in the WhatsApp group and being active in regular meetings held by the school; c) the efforts made by the school in collaborating with parents of students by holding regular meetings, visiting teachers to students' homes to meet with parents of students, using cellphone technology to create Whatshapp groups to make it easier to communicate; and d) solutions for children who are not yet independent to instill an attitude of independence from an age with small things that need to be implanted at school and at home.
