Abstract
This study aims to describe the application of the Discovery Learning (DL) method to improve student’s achievement in X Accounting class at SMK Gajah Mungkur 1 Wuryantoro 2020/2021. This type of research is a classroom action research. This type of research is a classroom action research with a two-cycle research design consisting of planning, implementation, observation, analysis and reflection. Data collection techniques used were observation, testing and documentation. Data analysis technique is descriptive quantitative by using percentage. The research results show that discovery learning method can improve students' basic accounting learning achievement in basic accounting subjects, as evidenced by the average value of basic accounting learning achievement before action is 45.43 with the minimum score achievement percentage of 17.40 %, after taking action in the first cycle the average value increased by 29.98 to 75.21 with the percentage of minimum score achievement of 73.91%. In the second cycle the students's average score increased to 87.82 with a percentage or an increase from the first cycle of 12.41.
