Abstract

Almost all countries in the world are facing the SARSCoV-2 corona or Covid-19 disease or often known as Coronavirus Diseases at this time. According to the official WHO website (2020), this virus can spread quickly. proven through the official WHO website, the total number of Covid-19 cases worldwide increases every month. Many companies lost money due to unstable economic conditions due to the spread of the pandemic, so that some companies chose to terminate their work relations and some chose to take turns off their employees in order to continue carrying out production activities. The direct impact felt by employees who are dismissed from work makes it difficult to fulfill daily needs because the salary they receive is not complete. Resilience is needed for someone to have a good psychological condition so that they are able to live life in difficult situations amid the Covid-19 Pandemic. The purpose of this study was to examine differences in the resilience of factory employees when facing the Covid-19 pandemic in terms of gender and employee status in the company. Subjects in this study were 50 employees with permanent status and 50 employees with temporary status (contract), both male and female at PT X of Surakarta. Resilience scale is used to collect data. Data analysis using the Two Way Anova method, then when viewed from the employee status shows the result (F) of 3.540 and Sig. (p) of 0.063 (p> 0.05), which means that there is no difference in the resilience of factory employees amid the pandemic coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in terms of employee status. And then, when viewed from gender, the value (F) is 9,422 Sig. (p) of 0.003 (p ≤ 0.05), which means that there is a difference in the resilience of factory employees amid the pandemic coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in terms of gender. Furthermore, the mean value for men of 117.375 was higher than the mean value for women of 112.026. So it can be concluded that male employees are more resilient than female employees.
