Abstract

Word writing is an activity of writing the elements of language in the form of words by fulfilling Indonesian language rules. Writing uptake elements is an activity of writing vocabulary elements originating from foreign languages by paying attention to Indonesian language rules. Writing words and absorbing elements should be considered by students when writing. But in reality, still found errors writing word and absorbing elements. The purpose of this study, namely: (1) Describe the writing of words in the narrative text of the work of class VII students at SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta. (2) Describe the writing errors of absorption elements in the narrative text of the seventh grade students of SMP Muhammadiyah 7 Surakarta. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data in this study were errors in writing words and absorbing elements from the narrative text of student work. Data collection techniques used are listening techniques and note taking techniques. The data analysis technique used is the method of sharing with marking and changing tecniques. The validity of the data uses theory triangulation. The results found 17 errors in writing basic 2 words, 23 errors in successive words, 4 errors in remodelling, 1 error in combined words, 31 errors in prepositions, 6 errors in particles, 1 errors in abbreviations, 7 errors in numbers and numbers, 8 errors in pronouns, 17 errors writing Arabic uptake elements and 9 errors of English uptake elements.
