Abstract

The objectives of this study are (1) to describe the structure of Ikhtiar Cinta's novel from Adonara Karya J.S Maulana, (2) to describe the value of Worship in Ikhtiar Cinta's novel from Adonara Karya J.S Maulana, (3) to describe its relevance to Indonesian Language learning in high school. This research is included in the qualitative description research and the data collection using the note taking method. This research method uses data methods and data sources. The results of this study The study focused on three formulations, (1) knowing the structure of Ikhtiar Cinta's novel from Adonara Karya J.S Maulana. The structure of the novel includes: the theme, the theme contained in this novel is a class. Both characters, in this novel, describe the introduction of characters and characters using expository and dramatic techniques. The three types of characters, the types of characters can be divided into three namely, antagonist, protagonist, and tritagonist. Fourth is the plot, the plot is a series of interrelated events in a story in the Ikhtiar Cinta story from Adonara. The story is told not sequentially from the first to the end so that this story is included in a mixed plot. The five settings, settings or settings are the basis for suggesting the understanding of the place, the relationship of time, and the social environment in which the planned events occur. (2) knowing the value of Worship in the novel Ikhtiar Cinta from Adonara Karya J.S Maulana, Knowing the value of Worship contained in the Ikhtiar Cinta novel from Adonara Karya J.S. the value of worship contained in this novel is divided into three types namely, Worship of Mahdhah, Worship of Ghairu Mahdah, and Worship of Dhil-Wajhain. (3) find out describing its relevance to Indonesian Language learning in high school.
