Abstract

This study is aimed to determine the effect of emotional intelligence, and work stress whether it is partially and simultaneously that affect the performance of the spinning unit 2 employees of Dan Liris Company in Sukoharjo. The type of this research is quantitative study, the data used are primary data in the form of answers to questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents and secondary data in the form of data owned by an agency. The process of collecting data uses the questionnaire method. The analysis prerequisite testing uses normality test, multicollinearity test, and heteroscedasticity test, while the data analysis technique is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the research and data analysis prove that emotional intelligence has a partially significant effect on the performance of Dan Liris Company in Sukoharjo, as evidenced by the significance level of less than 0.05, this shows that emotional intelligence has a positive influence on the performance of the employee spinning unit 2 Dan Liris Company in Sukoharjo, it means that the higher the level of emotional intelligence possessed by employees, the more performance will increase. Work stress has a partially significant effect on the performance of Dan Liris Company in Sukoharjo, evidenced by the significance level of less than 0.05, this shows that work stress has a positive influence on the employee performance of the spinning unit 2 Dan Liris Company in Sukoharjo, it means that the workload given to employees becomes a passion or challenge for employees to produce better work. Emotional intelligence, and work stress simultaneously have a significant effect simultaneously on the performance of Dan Liris Company in Sukoharjo, indicated with a significance level of less than 0.05.
