Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the significance of the influence of financial awards, professional training, professional recognition, market consideration, and the family environment of career students ' interest as a public accountant on Accounting student Faculty of Economics University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This research uses the survey method, the type of data used is qualitative data and quantitative data, the data sources used primary data and secondary data. The population in this research was accounting student Faculty of Economics University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta year 2015. The samples in this study of accounting students Faculty of Economics of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta who have taken auditing I and auditing II, sampling techniques conducted using accidental sampling, with the number of samples As many as 74 respondents. Data collection methods used: questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques used validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analyses, t tests, F tests and coefficient of determination. The results of the research came to the conclusion that there is a positive and significant influence of financial appreciation towards the student's interest in career as a public accountant. There is a positive and significant influence on professional training on career students ' interest in becoming public accountants. There is a positive and significant influence on professional recognition of career students ' interest in becoming public accountants. There is a positive and significant influence on market consideration of career students ' interest in becoming public accountants. There is a positive and significant influence of the family environment on career students ' interest in becoming public accountants.
