Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) the implementation of counseling guidance services in overcoming student learning difficulties, (2) the factors causing student learning difficulties in SD Negeri 01 Sukosari. Type of qualitative research with a case study design. Data collection uses observation, interviews, and documentation. The data of this study are primary and secondary data processed using data analysis techniques used through four main activities namely: data reduction, data display, data verification and conclusions. The results of the study that (1) the implementation of counseling guidance services in overcoming student learning difficulties include (a) guidance and counseling services for counseling teachers themselves do not exist, but are integrated with class teachers. (b) types of services used in overcoming student learning difficulties, namely: tutoring services, individual counseling guidance services, and parent / guardian collaboration. (2) the factors that cause students' learning difficulties are internal factors made from themselves namely: readiness, habits, gaps, interests, low motivation and external factors that are done from outside oneself namely: teacher's relationship with students, facilities and infrastructure, relationships parents with students, student relations with the community environment. There are some students experiencing learning difficulties, namely specific language difficulties (SLI), reading disorders (Dyslexia), numeracy disorders (Dyscalculia). In overcoming this problem the teacher provides counseling services to some students who have difficulty learning through tutoring programs, individual guidance, collaboration of parents / guardians of students.
