Abstract

In the research is that the Muhammadiyah 5 Junior High School Surakarta is still having students who read the Koran less well and seen from the results of student achievement in reading the Koran is not optimal. So to improve student achievement in reading the Koran by holding a Tahfidz Al-Quran class program. The formulation of the problem in this study is How is the model used in learning the Tahfidz Qur'an class at SMP Muhammadiyah 05 Surakarta and How is the success of the Tahfidz Qur'an classroom learning model at Muhammadiyah 05 Surakarta Junior High School. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of the model used in learning the Tahfidz Qur'an class at SMP Muhammadiyah 05 Surakarta and to describe the success of the learning model of the Tahfidz Qur'an class at SMP Muhammadiyah 05 Surakarta. This type of research is field research in SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta and the approach used in this study is a qualitative approach. Data sources in this study were from interviews with Mr. Nurul Huda, Mr. Sudarno and students named Ari Widi, while the subjects in this study were teachers and students and the objects in this study were the application of the model used in learning the Tahfidz Qur'an class and success Tahfidz Qur'an class learning model. Data collection techniques in this study were interviews, observation and documentation. Researchers write data analysis by data reduction, data display and data verification. Data analysis is used deductively. The results showed that there was an increase in students in reading the Koran and an increase in students memorizing verses of the Koran and the value of student achievement also increased
