Abstract

Abstract This study aims to find out (1) there is the influence of Think Pair Share (TPS) and Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning strategies on student’s mathematics learning result, (2) there is the influence of the ability to think creatively on student mathematics learning outcomes, (3) there is the interaction between learning strategies with the creative thinking ability on student mathematics learning result. This study uses a quasi-experimental design that is by analyzing two-way variance with unequal cells. The population in this study were all VII grade students of MTs Negeri 1 Klaten. The sample in this study was selected by cluster random sampling technique which consisted of classes VII G and VII H. Data collection techniques were carried out using the test, questionnaire and documentation methods. The validity test of the instrument using the Product Moment correlation formula and the reliability test using the Alpha Cronbach formula. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that (1) there is an influence of learning strategies on student mathematics learning outcomes, where marginal mean results indicate Think Pair Share (TPS) learning strategies better than Numbered Head Together (NHT) (2) there is an influence of thinking ability creative towards student mathematics learning result, where the results of post-anava follow-up tests show that there are significant differences between high creative thinking skills and low creative thinking skills (3) there is no interaction between learning strategies with creative thinking ability in high, medium, and low ability categories towards student mathematics learning result.
