Abstract

Professional teachers who have academic qualification, 4 competencies and education certificates that are attended by Professional teachers are teachers who have academic qualifications, 4 competencies and education certificates that are attended by participating in PPG activities. PPG is a continuation program among professional workers, a new program created by the government to improve professional teaching staff. This study uses descriptive qualitative research methods, with a phenomenological approach, while the analysis technique uses qualitative data validity with triangulation techniques. This study discusses the preparation of PPG professional teachers: in the assessment of intellectual ethics. 441 respondents were asked questions about understanding the code of ethics, and the results, 305 people or 69% answered strongly agree, 129 people or 29% answered agreed, 7 people or 2% answered less agree. The code of ethics is not a rule that is made playfully but is made with clarity and maturity in its preparation. It is not good if in a profession there are no applicable rules and defined rights and obligations, even though the code of ethics makes a profession have the basis, purpose or identity to be seen as professional teachers An influential code of ethics in applying 4 competencies, the need for deep understanding become a professional teacher.
