Abstract

The goal of this study is to analyze the preparedness of Mathematics Education Study Program students in UMS in conducting the PLP II program in 2018. This is a qualitative descriptive research with a phenomenological research design. There were three students from the Mathematics Education Study Program who already conducted their PLP II program in 2018 were taken as the subjects of this study. The data collection techniques for this study were interviews and documentation. The results of this study shows that the students of Mathematics Education Study Program already has pedagogical competence preparedness in conducting the PLP II program in 2018. However, in the learning process implementation, students need to be more expert especially about the learning opening and closing skills. For personality competence and social competence, all Mathematics Education Study Program students already have preparedness in its implementation. And for the professional competence preparedness, Mathematics Education Study Program students who’s not prepared yet for the implementation, particularly mastering teaching materials which are still lacking and need to be improved.
