Abstract

This study aims to find out 1) the application oflearning media Scribe Video on Economic subjects for students of Social Sciences X grade 2 Surakarta Muhammadiyah 2 High School, 2) increase the activity of students in the learning process in Economics X IPS subjects in Muhammadiyah 2 High School Surakarta. This type of research uses qualitative descriptive. Qualitative data was obtained from interviews with Economics subject teachers of class X Muhammadiyah 2 Senior High School in Surakarta, qualitative data were also obtained from suggestions and comments from scribelearning media experts video. The design of this study is qualitative research that uses interview analysis. Data collection techniques used in this study include: participatory observation, unstructured interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this study was carried out with several techniques including: data reduction, data presentation, verification / conclusion drawing, and data collection. The results of this qualitative study 1) Learning media applied by researchers are said to be successful with the acquisition of a value of 48 out of 50 by subject teachers who apply learning media to students. In addition, the difference in the level of acquisition of the observation guidelines obtained by the researcher shows the level of difference in activity shown by students who use learning media with students who are only taught by lecture method, 2) Attractive learning media are able to increase student activity in the learning process. because interesting learning media are able to attract students' attention so students want to understand what is in the learning. Increased activity shown by students between those who use the media and not using the media is very different, it is also supported by the statement of teachers of Economic subjects stating that the learning media are successful in increasing student learning activeness during Economic lessons and the media can be applied in learning.
