Abstract
The research aims to find out the prospective of biology teacher’s ability at FKIP UMS in applying the nature of science in preparing curriculum learning implementation plan KTSP in academic year 2016/2017.The study of the aspects are the ability in applying the nature science at learning process, material learning, learning scenario, and assessment. The research is descriptive research by using documentation technique as a method. The sample of the data is using random sampling from 41 students of the biology teacher’s prospective. The result shows that the ability in applying the nature of science in preparing RPP is enough (44.14%). The ability in applying the nature of science in learning purposes is not good enough (20,93%), in the material learning is not good enough (47,68%), in the learning scenario is good (68.78%), and in the assessment is less (39,20%). Based on the result, the prospective of biology teacher’s ability at FKIP UMS in applying the 2 nature of sciencein preparing curriculum learning implementation plan KTSP in academic year 2016/2017 is enough category (44,14%).
