Abstract

This research purposed to find out how the relationship between the work stress with job satisfaction on the part of Convection unit Employees, section Sewing 1B PT X. The hypothesis presented in this study, that there is a negative relationship between the work stress with employee job satisfaction. The sampling techniques used in this research is the random sampling with the subject amounted to 109 employees. These studies use quantitative methods with gauge scale of betwen work stress and job satisfaction. These studies use quantitative methods with the gauge scale betwen stress work and job satisfaction. The data in this study were analyzed using SPSS version 15.0 for Windows evaluation version with the technique of the correlation coefficient of Pearson product moment. The results of the analysis of data obtained a correlation is -0.693 and significance (p) of 0.000 (p < 0.01), which means, there is a very significant negative relationship between the work stress with job satisfaction. The effective contribution of these two variables is of 46.5% and indicated by (r2) of 0.465. This means there is still a 53.5% other variables that may affect job satisfaction in addition to the work stress. Work stress categorization belongs to medium, with the empirical mean (RE) of 49.55 and average hipotetik (RH) of 50. The category of job satisfaction are also classified as moderate, with the average empirical (RE) of 72.78 and average hipotetik (RH) of 70.
