Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) the influence of the level of parent education on the financial literacy of accounting students of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, 2) the influence of Knowledge of Family Financial Management to the financial literacy of accounting education students of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, 3) the influence between the education level of parents and Knowledge of Family Financial Management to financial literacy of accounting education student of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta . This research falls into associative quantitative research . The subjects of this study are the students of 2015 quantization education with a population of 248 samples taken from 148 students. Data collection techniques using questionnaires that have been tested by testing with validity and reliability test. The prerequisite analysis test includes normality test and linearity test. Data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis, t test, F test . The results showed 1) Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis obtained coefficient Parent Education level of 0.916 and Knowledge Family Financial Management of 0.442, this proves that the variable level of Parent Education and Knowledge of Family Financial Management has an influence on Financial Literasi, 2) From the results t test obtained t count for variable Level of Education Parent amounted to 4.177 while t table of 1.976, then Ho is rejected so that no influence between Education Level of Parents towards Literacy Financial individually, 3) From the results of the t test obtained t count for Knowledge Management Family Financial 13,138 while t table equal to 1,976, hence Ho is rejected so that there is influence between Knowledge of Family Financial Management to Literasi Finansial individually, 4) From result of F test analysis obtained F count = 120,426> F table = 3,058, hence Ho is rejected so co- same No influence of the Parent Education Level (X), Family Financial Management Knowledge (X 2) of the Financial Literacy.
