Abstract

MI Muhammadiyah Jagoan Sambi uses learning media aid to overcome reading difficulties in second grade students. The learning media that is pictorial media, with pictorial media will help students overcome the difficulties it faces. The objectives of the research are: (1) To know what are the factors that cause reading difficulties, (2) to know whether the use of pictorial media can overcome the reading difficulties of second grade students of MI Muhammadiyah Jagoan Sambi Academy Year 2017/2018, (3) To know how the implementation of media usage pictorial to overcome the difficulties of reading students II MI Muhammadiyah Jagoan Sambi Academy Year 2017/2018. The research approach is qualitative with case study research design. In the data collecting researchers using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis of researchers using qualitative descriptive by reducing the data and then presents the data in the form of brief descriptions and concluded flexible to answer the formulation of existing problems. The result of the research shows that, (1) the factors causing the students to have difficulty reading are internal factors, external factors and environmental factors arising from the students themselves, (2) The use of pictorial media helps students solve problems faced slowly, (3) Implementation of the use of pictorial media tailored to the conditions and needs of each student.
