Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship of leadership, compensation, and competence on the performance of youth employment and sports officials of Surakarta city. This study used an associative approach by spreading the questionnaire. Population and sample used in this study were the employees of the youth and sports office of Surakarta city, with sampling saturated (total sampling) as the technique of the takers. Hypothesis testing in this study using the tool of validity test analysis, reliability test, classical assumption test,multiple linear regression, T test, F test, and coefficient of derermination (R2). Result of research indicate that leadership influence to employee performance. There is an effect of compensation on employee performance. There is an influence on employee performance. Test results coefficient of determination (R2) shows that leadership, compensation, competence, able to explain the variability of employee performance.
