Abstract
This study aims to test the positive effect of guide discovery learning model to the mastery of mathematical concepts of students. The type of research is a correlational quantitative research with linear regression design. The population of research, all students of class X MAN 2 Boyolali year 2016/2017. The sample of research is class X.A1 amount to 23 students with Cluster Random Sampling technique. Data collection using test methods and documentation. Technique of data analysis using simple linear regression which previously conducted the prerequisite test analysis that is normality test, linearity test, independence test, and homoscedasticity test. The results showed linear regression equation Y ̂ = 1,430 + 0,944X with contribution as big as 85,1%. Correlation coefficient is very high that is equal to 0.938. Hypothesis test generate a value t_count = 12,401> t_ (0,05,21) = 1,721. The result of this research concludes that guided discovery learning model has a positive effect to the ability of the mastery of mathematics concept.
