Abstract
This study aims to describe: 1) Preparation of Friday prayers at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. 2) Practicing Friday prayers as an attempt to establish the character of discipline and responsibility in the 6th grade students in SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. 3) Barriers and solutions Friday prayer habits as an effort to form the character of discipline and responsibility in grade 6 students in SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. This type of research is a qualitative research, the design of this study is a single case study. The place of this research was conducted in SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. The data collected is data from interviews, observation, documentation. 2 Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation, documentation. Data were analyzed using data analysis technique through three steps: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The technique of data validity is done by using source triangulation and method triangulation. The results of this study indicate that: a. Friday prayers at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta include: 1) Jemaah who follow the Friday prayers at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta are students, teachers, community and employees of PT Duta Wirya. 2) Preparation of Friday prayers at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta conducted at 11.00, students take ablution water, recite, etc. 3) The implementation of the Friday prayer at SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta at the time of Zuhur is at 12.00. b. SD Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta has implemented the character of discipline such as: performing the Friday prayers at school, performing the Friday prayers in an orderly manner, obeying the rules. SD Muhammadiyah 3 has applied responsibilities such as: performing the Friday prayers on time, and performing the Friday prayers to completion. Obstacles that are experienced are: not yet the holding of a picket teacher to guide students to not crowded, there are students who are busy themselves. Solution habit praying Friday as an effort to form the character of discipline and responsibility is the holding of the teacher picket, there must be a teacher who admonished the students who busy themselves
