Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the form of conjunction in the March 2017 issue of Solopos, and to describe the connection of the use of conjunction in the March 2017 issue of Solopos by learning to edit the text of the observation report of class X SMK Muhammadiyah Delanggu. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. This research uses intralingual method. Techniques used are techniques refer and note. The data of this research are coordinative, subordinate, and intermalimental conjunctions contained in main news discourse in Solopos newspaper. The data obtained are 70 conjunctions, ie 24 coordinative conjunctions consisting of coordinating conjunctions connecting summing, selecting, disputing, correcting, asserting, limiting, sorting, and equating. Then subordinate conjunctions of 40 data consisting of subordinate conjunctions connecting states of cause, effect, purpose, time, effect, event limit, goal or objective, affirmation, and comparison. An intercapalal conjunction of 6 data consisting of intercostal conjunctions connects and collects, and opposes or contrasts. keywords: morphology, discourse, conjunction
