Abstract
The purpose of this research is to improve the learning result of geometry using cooperative learning of Group Investigation. The type of qualitative research with Classroom Action Reseach (PTK) is done collaboratively between researchers and teachers of mathematics. The subject of the recipients of this research are the students of class VIII B at SMP Negeri 2 Sawit there are 27 students and the subject of this research is the teacher of mathematics. Data collection techniques in this research is using observation, tests, field notes and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this research are reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The result of this research is the increasing of mathematics learning result of student, this can be seen from each of the following indicators, (1) Students who ask questions when learning ongoing before the action of 2 students (6.67%), after the action there are 21 students (70%); (2) students who do the exercises in front of class before the action there are 4 students (13, 33%),after the action there are 24 students (80%); (3) students are able to answer questions from teachers there are 5 students (16.67%), after the action there are 22 students (73.33%); (4) students learning result that fulfill the requirement of KKM before action there are 5 students (16,67%), after action there are 25 students (83,33%).
