Abstract

This study aimed to describe and analyze: (1) Effect of mathematics learning with a model of Discovery Learning based Numbered Heads Together and model of Discovery Learning-based Group Investigation on learning outcomes of mathematics, (2) Effect of communication skills mathematical students' learning outcomes mathematics, (3) The interaction between the learning model with mathematical communication ability of students to learn mathematics results. This research is a quantitative penilitian with a quasi-experimental design. The study population was all students in grade X SMA Negeri 1 Girimarto year 2016/2017. The sample in this study consisted of two classes with the sampling technique using a cluster random sampling. Methods of data collection using tests and documentation. Data were analyzed using two-way analysis of variance with different cell. With a significance level of 5% we concluded that: (1) There is the influence of the model-based Discovery Learning Numbered Heads Together and model of Group Investigation Discovery Learning based on learning outcomes in mathematics with F_A=4,597. (2) The influences of students' mathematical communication skills to the learning outcomes in mathematics with F_B=18,068. (3) There is no interaction between the learning model with mathematical communication ability of students to learn mathematics with the results with F_AB=0,279.
