Abstract
The purpose of this research is to improve the activity and student learning outcomes through learning model Jigsaw. This type of research is a classroom action research (PTK). The subjects of this study were teachers and students of class VIII F SMP N 1 Colomadu the first half amounted to 34 students. Methods of data collection was conducted through interviews, observation, testing and documentation. Data were analyzed using methods that include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results showed an increase in activity and learning achievement of mathematics. this can be seen through the following indicators: Students who dared to put forward the idea of current teaching and learning activities, there are 10 students (29.40%) after treatment to 26 students (76.40%). Students who dared to ask about the material that is not yet understood there were 9 students (26.40%) after treatment to 28 students (82%). Students who discuss with other students there are 13 students (38.20%) after the action to be 30 students (88.20%). Students who pass the KKM there are 12 students (35.20%) after treatment to 29 students (85.20%). The conclusion of this study is a jigsaw learning model can improve the activity and learning achievement F class VIII SMP N 1 Colomadu Semester I.
