Abstract

Kepustakaan : 48 : 1997-2012 ABSTRACT WAHYU MAULANA J310090037 RELATIONSHIP OF ECONOMIC STATUS AND LEVEL OF ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF PROTEIN WITH NUTRITIONAL STATUS OF PREGNANT WOMEN IN WORK AREA PRIMARY HEALTH CARE COLOMADU II KARANGANYAR Background : Chronic energy shortages caused by the imbalance between demand and intake of foods containing macro nutrients, namely energy and protein. One of the factors that could affect the nutritional status of pregnant women is economic status that indirectly affect food supply and medical expenditure. Chronic energy deficiencyprevalence of pregnant women in Primary Health Care Colomadu II at 46.84% . Objective : The nutritional status of pregnant women is one indicator to measure the nutritional status of the community. If the nutritional intake for pregnant women of food is not balanced with the needs of the body, there will be a deficiency of nutrients . Research Metods : This study was an observational study with cross sectional approach. The number of samples41pregnant womenin accordance with theinclusion and exclusion criteria.Status analysis of the data subject in total expenditure, while the level of consumption of energy and protein using Recall Form 24 hours and to determine the nutritional status of pregnant women was with Upper Arm Circumference ( MUAC ). Statistical test using the Pearson product moment . Results : Respondents with lower economic status that is equal to 29.3 %. The number of respondents with energy consumption level of 29.3 % by weight deficit, the deficit was 34.1 %, a mild deficit of 24.4 %, while 12.2 % of normal category. Respondents with a heavy deficit protein consumption level of 26.8 % , the deficit 24.4 % , 26.8 % mild deficits, while for normal category by 17 % and excess protein consumption is 5% .Have relations economic status and level of energy consumption nutritional status of pregnant women with a value of p is p = 0.004 and p = 0.028. While the level of protein intake there was no correlation with nutritional status pregnant women evidenced by the value of p is p = 0.093 . Conclusion : There is a relationship between economic status and level of energy consumption and nutritional status of pregnant women in Primary Health CareColomadu II Karanganyar while the level of protein intake showed no relationship .
