Abstract
articulated steering is a unit control system that is used to direct the unit to the right or left according to the operation of the operator. the purpose of this analysis is to determine the causes of damage and repair of the steering system on the lonking lg855n wheel loader. the inspection procedure for the articulated steering cylinder is to carry out a performance test and visual check, then carry out a disassembly process to check the components to find out the damage that has occurred to the articulated steering cylinder. the results of the analysis show that there is damage to the components in the articulated steering cylinder which are damaged in the seal, so that the articulated steering cylinder is heavy when operated so it does not work optimally. the articulated steering system can work normally again, so it is necessary to replace the damaged component. measures to prevent greater damage by means of periodic maintenance.
