Abstract
The tightness of lecture activities and the amount of pressure received can affect the psychological condition of students. Students tend to deal with stress by coping with stress in the form of emotional eating or venting their feelings on food, where when under stress a person tends to overeat or even have no appetite. Stressful conditions that occur if you don't get serious attention can increase the risk of developing an eating disorder. To determine the relationship between stress levels and the risk of eating disorders in Nutrition Science students at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta. This study used a cross-sectional approach with a sample of 68 students of Science and Nutrition Sciences in semester VII. The research was analyzed using Pearson Product Moment. The sample in this study was taken by simple random sampling. Data on stress levels were obtained from the PSS-10 questionnaire (Perceived Stress Scale) while data on the risk of eating disorders was obtained from the EAT-26 questionnaire (Eating Attitude Test 26) which was analyzed using SPSS 25. 38.2% of students were found to have a severe level of stress, 57.4% experienced moderate stress levels and 4.4% had mild stress levels. In addition, data were also obtained on students who were at risk of having eating disorders by 51,5 %. The results of the Pearson Product Moment test obtained a p-value of 0.000 (<0.05) or significant. There is a significant relationship between stress levels and the risk of eating disorders.
