Abstract

Rino Dwi Irawan/Q100190040. LEARNING METHODS OF CRITICAL READING AND CALCULATION WITH MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE APPROACH at SD NEGERI 2 GAGAKSIPAT BOYOLALI. Publication Articles. Postgraduate, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. July 2022 The aims of this study were to (1) identify the implementation of the use of innovative critical reading methods using the multiple-intelligence visual-spatial approach, (2) identify the implementation of students' ways of connecting words so that they become complete sentences using multiple linguistic intelligence approaches, (3) formulating a logical-mathematical multiple intelligence approach in learning numeracy for grade 1 students at SD Negeri 2 Gagaksipat Boyolali. The research method used in this study is a qualitative description with a phenomenological research design. The techniques used in the research are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The technique used by researchers in carrying out checking the validity of the data uses triangulation techniques and triangulation of sources. The validation test uses confirmability, namely linking the findings to the interview process. The results of this study indicate that (1) the visual-spatial approach to the method of learning to read at SD Negeri 2 Gagaksipat is to recognize letters and words through pictures, random words and flash cards. (2) the linguistic approach in linking words in learning to read is to arrange words and sentences using tables with the phoneme "ng". (3) the logical-mathematical approach to learning to count is delivered with a puzzle, converting numbers into a picture and using the media of jarimatika as a tool. Basically every student has a different intelligence. However, with intensive and interesting learning stimulation so that it is fun, this mathematical intelligence makes students' ability to count increase.
