Abstract

Tourism plays a role as one of the efforts that can improve the economy of a country. By holding international events or exhibitions, it can increase the interest of foreign tourists to visit a country. MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) (Indonesian: Meeting, Incentive, Convention, and Exhibition) is an international exhibition activity that can be a stepping stone to improve the existence of a country. The city of Solo with its culture can compete as a destination and even host the international event, but the city of Solo does not yet have an adequate place with adequate capacity and facilities. Solo International Exhibition Center is the answer to this problem. By carrying out the contemporary architecture concept, the city of Solo is increasingly thick with Javanese culture but also increases the existence of the city of Solo by combining Javanese culture with a futuristic style, namely the shape of the building that refers to local wisdom. language, but with modern forms and elements. In planning and design, the methods used are literature study, interviews and discussions, observation, and comparative studies.
