Abstract
This research aims to determine the characteristics of recipients and the allocation of use of direct cash assistance in Brati 02/08 Hamlet, Macanan Village, Kebakkramat District, Karanganyar Regency. This research involved 52 respondents who had received assistance. The analytical tool used in this research is descriptive analysis which includes presenting profile data on the characteristics of BLT recipients in the form of data tables. Data will be obtained using a questionnaire which includes several questions related to demographics such as people's income, education, employment, age, home ownership status, and number of dependents in the family. The results of the research show that the characteristics of Direct Cash Assistance Recipients in Brati 02/08 Hamlet, Macanan Village, Kebakkramat District, Karanganyar Regency have general characteristics such as an average age of more than 40 years, an average of elementary school graduates, having a livelihood as an entrepreneur with an income of around 1,600,000-2,000,000 per month. Apart from that, other characteristics of aid recipients, seen from the status of the average house, are that they own it and have 2 and 4 dependents. Meanwhile, the average aid allocation is used to buy basic necessities to meet basic household needs. The conclusion of the research shows that the provision of Direct Cash Assistance achieved a high level of success, namely around 90% on target and this assistance was very effective in meeting people's living needs.
