Abstract
Arowana fish is a fish that is considered expensive and profitable for business because it has a beautiful and rare body color. Indonesia has various types of arowana fish, for example Papuan arowana (Scleropages jardini); Australian Arowana (Scleropages leidcharti), Banjar Red Arowana, Red Tail Golden Arowana, Green Arowana (Scleropages formosus), Super Red Arowana (Scelopages Legendrel). The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries in 2018, recorded that 4,058 super red arowana fish were sold with a total price of more than Rp. 10 billion. Meanwhile, in 2019, 2,360 were sold with a total price of IDR 2.5 billion (Kompas.com, 2021). One of the areas that practice arowana fish cultivation is the people of the Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan. This fish farming is very profitable because the selling value is stable and the price is quite high according to the uniqueness and beauty of the color. Increased production of Arowana fish as ornamental fish provides opportunities for the economic development of the community.
