Abstract

The process of making metal casting products at CV. Okabawes Karya Logam has used machines for printing. It is a big step to reduce human labor in Manual Material Handling (MMH) work. Some work stations still use human labor to work on MMH, which can cause workers to experience musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) muscle injuries. The purpose of this study was to determine the production activities at the Hand Grinder, Bench Grinder, and Drill stations that can cause muscle injury for workers. The methods used are Key Indicator Method (KIM) and Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA). There are 3 activities obtained by the KIM method with a high score that require immediate treatment to avoid further injury. There are 6 activities with a medium score in the REBA method. Requires non-urgent repair but muscle fatigue may occur. The proposed improvement in the form of a table is applied to the 3 analyzed stations to reduce the risk of injury and muscle fatigue to a lower score.
