Abstract

This study aims to estimate the effect of interest rates on Bank Indonesia Certificates, foreign exchange reserves, and the rupiah exchange rate on the money supply in Indonesia. The data used by the author in this study is secondary data in the type 24 years of time series starting from 1996-2020 which is sourced from the World Bank, Bank Indonesia (BI), the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Ministry of Trade. The analytical method used is multiple linear regression with the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) approach used to analyze the data. The results show that the foreign exchange reserves and the rupiah exchange rate have a positive effect on the money supply in Indonesia. Meanwhile, the variable interest rate for Bank Indonesia certificates has no effect on the money supply in Indonesia.
