Abstract
This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the Human Development Index in East Java Province. The analytical method used is panel data regression (a combination of time series data and cross section) with a cross section covering 38 regencies/cities in East Java Province. While the time series data starts from 2017 to 2020. The independent variables used to explain the factors that affect the Human Development Index are Economic Growth are, School Facilities, Health Facilities, Labor Force Participation Rate, and Government Expenditures. The results of this study show that Economic Growth are negative and significant to the Human Development Index, Labor Force Participation Rate are positive and significant to the Human Development Index, and Government Expenditures are positive and significant to the Human Development Index in East Java Province. Thus it can be concluded that the factors that can affect the Human Development Index in East Java Province are Economic Growth, Labor Force Participation Rate, and Government Expenditure during the 2017-2020 period.
