Abstract
Cafe is a place to relax and chat where visitors can order drinks and food available at each cafe. Cafe is a type of restaurant but prioritizes a relaxed atmosphere, entertainment and visitor comfort. At the beginning of 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic was a very dangerous virus and could attack the human body very quickly, so the government implemented Large-Scale Social 2 Restrictions (PSBB). The enactment of PSBB affects the turnover of cafes in Kilometer 10, Sorong City. The data collection method used a field survey. The field survey conducted using a questionnaire to cafe business owners located in the 10 kilometer area of Sorong City as many as 8 (eight) respondents. The questionnaire in this study was divided into 4 parts, namely the identity of the respondent, the characteristics of the cafe, the impact of income due to Covid-19 and how to adapt to the Covid-19 outbreak. The impact of Covid-19 has caused a drastic decrease in income for cafe business owners in Kilometer 10, Sorong City. The average turnover that the cafe owner gets is Rp. 9,375,000 before the pandemic and policies from the government, but during the pandemic and policies from the government the turnover obtained by the owner decreased, only getting as much as Rp. 2.850.000. The impact of Covid-19 on cafes in Kilometer 10 of Sorong City caused a 69.6% decline in revenue. In addition to the decrease in income, there was also a decrease in the number of workers by 33.33% in order to reduce the number. One of the adaptations of cafe entrepreneurs is minimizing the number of workers in order to reduce expenses so as not to reduce the number of portions and the quality of food and beverages. In addition to the adaptation above, business owners make adaptations in the way of selling, namely, 25% of cafe owners register their products into online applications so that they can be delivered and make it easier for buyers to access if they cannot go directly to the cafe and 75% adapt by providing discounts for buyers who reach a nominal value. This method has been determined to be very effective in attracting customers. In addition to the adaptations above, the cafe owner does promotions to all social media so that it reaches easy children who have social media.
