Abstract

Waqf is a voluntary act to surrender part of one's property, and donate its benefits for the public interest, both for worship and social purposes with the intention of obtaining a reward from Allah SWT. So that waqf can provide social and economic welfare for the community, waqf must be managed and developed with good management. The results of the development of the waqf are then used to improve education. In addition, it also does not rule out the possibility of being used to help parties in need. The purpose of developing waqf at the Al-Ukhuwah Islamic Boarding School Foundation is to be able to maximize the potential of waqf so as to improve the economic and social welfare of the people. The importance of developing waqf certainly has implications for how to manage waqf optimally in providing utilization for the community. This study aims to determine the management of waqf at the Al Ukhuwah Islamic Boarding School Foundation. This research is a field research, with the type of qualitative research. Data collection techniques using observation, documentation and interviews. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative analysis, which consists of three streams of activities that take place simultaneously, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results show waqf assets owned by the Al Ukhuwah Islamic Boarding School Foundation are used for mosques, dormitories, schools, and other forms of investment managed by the Al-Ukhuwah Islamic Boarding School Foundation, namely Minimarkets, Canteens, Catfish Farms, Youtube Al-Ukhuwah , Radio Da'wah, Al Ukhuwah Clinic.
