Abstract
The relocation of Candirejo Market, Boyolali Regency occurred in 2019 based on the decision of the local government. Market relocation or what is known as market location relocation from one place to this new place. The location of the market was moved because the local government wanted to build a square in Banyudono District. Market relocation can have an impact on the traders in the market. The purpose of this study, namely to analyze the impact of the Candirejo Market relocation on traders spatially and examine the resilience of traders after the market relocation. This research method uses a survey method with a quantitative and ecological descriptive approach. The population of this research is traders who are in Candirejo Market with a total sample of 27 to be interviewed about the impact and strategies regarding market relocation. In this study, the impact of market relocation found that as many as 77.77% of traders experienced a reduction in the amount of income, 66.66% experienced a decrease in the number of buyers, 59.25% experienced a change in mileage to be very far and far, and 96.30% of traders experienced additional fees for trading after relocation. In addition, the impact of market relocation also caused buyers to experience very long distances by 26%. From these results, it was found a strategy of trading survival, namely to increase income using a strategy of equipping goods and to attract buyers using a strategy of changing buyers.
