Abstract

A budget deficit is a condition where government spending is greater than government revenue. This study aims to determine the effect of Exchange Rates, Real Interest Rates, Real Interest Rates, Foreign Debt and Gross Domestic Product on the Budget Deficit in Indonesia. The data used in this study is secondary data in the form of a time series (time series) for 1990-2019. Data obtained from the ministry of finance and the world bank. The method used in this study is the partial adjustment model (PAM). The results of this study indicate that the exchange rate has no effect on the budget deficit, real interest rates have a negative effect on the budget deficit, foreign debt has a negative effect on the budget deficit and gross domestic product has no effect on the budget deficit.
