Abstract
This study discusses the Internalization of character Education Values Throught the Tahfidz juz 30 program. This reasearch is motivated by education in Indonesia which only cares about IQ without payong attention to student EQ and lack of attention in schools and it is proven that the rampant crimes both electonically and non electronically. The existence of the tahfidz juz 30 program is expected to equip students in reading the Qur’an and memorizing the Al Qur’an as well as forming Akhlakul Karimah in students. The research is included in qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The data is obtained in this study used interviews, observation and documentation. The data is used to describe the situstion in the field in written form. The subjects of this study were the principal, the tahfidz juz 30 program and students. Data analysis used was data reduction, presentation of conclusion drawing data and validity testing using triangulation. The results of this study indicate that the internalization of educational values can be through the exemplary method, the habituation method, and the motivation method. The value process that is internazed includes the value of honesty, the value of self confidence, the value of respectingtime, the value pf hard work, the value of heving self esteem and the value of being independent. The Obstacles in internalizing the values of character education cannot be separated from the teacher still having difficulties in the process of character building and evaluation because the time is relatively short so thet it seems not maximized and time from learning the tahfidz program is combined with islamic religious education and budi pekerto subjects. So there is a lack of special memorization time for students. In addition, because the teacher only refers to a spesial guidebook for improving student memorization, there is no initiative to develop textbooks and teachers are not required to take the initiative to meke lesson plans before learning the tahfidz juz 30 program. Soome students also seem lazy to meet the memorization target due to lack of attention from busy parents to work. So that students are entrusted to TPQ to study the Qur’an well.
