Abstract
Parenting is a way that parents do to educate their children. While moral development is an effort from someone in the form of guidance for children in educating children so that they have good personalities. This study discusses Parenting Parenting in Early Youth Moral Development in Jayan Hamlet RT 01 and RT 2 RW 01, Saren Village, Kalijambe District, Sragen Regency. Because it is found that there are many deviant adolescent morals such as smoking, alcohol, dating, even though children are sent to Islamic schools. This study aims to describe the parenting model applied by parents in the formation of adolescent morals, identify the application of parenting patterns in early adolescent moral development, and describe the barriers to parenting. This research belongs to the type of qualitative research with a field research model in Jayan Hamlet, RT 01 and 02, Saren Village, Kalijambe District, Sragen Regency with an ethnographic research approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation from primary data sources. Data analysis used inductive thinking with a content analysis model starting from data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, and testing the validity of the data with time triangulation techniques. The results showed that there were 3 different parenting styles in shaping adolescent morals in the village, namely authoritarian, democratic and permissive parenting. It can be seen that the authoritarian parenting pattern of parents takes actions to punish children such as twisting them when children do not pray, scolding children, parents advising children. Democratic parenting by paying attention to their children and advice so they don't play too often, the punishment given is very simple such as confiscation of children's cellphones but on the other hand parents also teach to do good, get used to and advise children. Permissive parenting, where parents pay little attention to children's activities, on the other hand, parents also provide advice for children. Obstacles encountered by parents include low education factors, namely only elementary school graduates. The majority of them have low economic status as farmers and factory workers. A bad environment such as the absence of religious activities, the lack of Koran teachers and the majority of parents' low thinking in supporting children's education. Keywords: parenting, moral development, early adolescence
