Abstract

A law can change since it follows developments of recent cases. Similarly to zakat mal which previously emerged and applied, then a new type of zakat emerged based on the provisions of the scholars, that was corporate or trade zakat. Not much different from the others, that basically all ownership should be purified by the issuance of zakat; besides, as a sign of gratitude for everything which has been entrusted. Furthermore, the fulfillment of human needs cannot be separated from the economic aspect that is trading. Therefore, with the establishment of the company it can support various buying and selling activities. One of them is PT Trijaya Plastik Utama, which focuses on producing raincoats that are things that many people need during the rainy season. In addition to paying attention to the quality of the products which are made, PT Trijaya Plastik Utama adheres to the priority of the obligation to pay zakat, infaq, and shadaqah which have been the company’s basis for muamalah for a long time. Moreover, in managing the income set aside for zakat and its application, it is conducted independently without any intermediaries; such as, LAZIS. Thus, the shareholders routinely issue company zakat on the awareness to help others; besides, in every property there are other people's rights.
