Abstract

One of the economic conditions of a region can be seen from the value of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP). GRDP is influenced by various factors so that it changes. In this study, the authors wanted to know the effect of the area of oil palm plantations, production of oil palm plantations, the number of workers in oil palm plantations and the export value of Crude Palm Oil on GRDP in North Sumatra Province. This research uses the OLS (Ordinary Least Square) method to determine the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The results of data testing show that in the short and long term the variables of oil palm plantation area and oil palm plantation production have no significant effect on GRDP, while the number of workers and the value of CPO exports have a significant effect on GRDP.
