Abstract

Technological developments are not only centered on the electronics industry sector, but also in the education sector. There needs to be more development and learning in the field of education in order to create an effective teaching and learning process. Therefore, as one of the uses of this technology, various learning development media have emerged that are of interest to children. The media is informing the games educational. Games are something that children like, so combining the two can make education more fun. This research is research using assessment and development method or Research and Development (R&D) which will be applied to computer and network engineering students on network topology material. The development model using ADDIE is analyzed, design, development , implementation, and evaluate which are interconnected with each other. In determining the validity, the method of data collection is by observation and interviews. The data results were then analyzed based on the Usability Test, Feasibility Test, Content Validation Test, Reliability Test, and Likert Test. This game that educational composers TOP JAR was made using the software Construct 3 with other supporting applications such as CorelDraw 2019 and Dia diagrams. Then the data collection was tested for validation of 0.81, then the reliability statistic test of media experts found that there were N of items or the number of items, namely there were 22 items with a Cronbach's alpha value of 0.770, and the last one was the presentation of interpretation above 60%, thus stating that The results of the validity of the data obtained are strong. The conclusion of the test results based on the analysis and testing of research data that educational games can overcome students' difficulties in learning and improve students' understanding at school.
