Abstract
This study aims to examine the relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Social Support on Anxiety of Former Layoff Employees in Ojek Online Surakarta. As for what is needed in this study, former employees who were laid off and then decided to survive in the online motorcycle taxi sector, totaling 142 people, the sampling technique used a random sampling technique. The method used in this research is a correlational quantitative method. The data collection tool used in this study was the emotional intelligence, social support and anxiety scale to measure the respondents' perceptions and opinions regarding the maturity of Emotional Intelligence, Social Support and Anxiety. The data analysis technique used in this research is multiple regression analysis. From the results of the analysis obtained a double correlation between emotional intelligence and social support for anxiety of Ry12 = 0.550 with a significance level of p < 0.001 meaning that there is a relationship between emotional intelligence and social support together on anxiety. The semi-partial correlation test results between emotional intelligence and anxiety when social support is controlled are - 0.213 with a significance level of p < 0.001 meaning that there is a negative and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and anxiety when social support is controlled. The results of the semi-partial correlation coefficient test of social support for anxiety when emotional intelligence is controlled is -0.199 with a significance level of p <0.001 meaning that there is a negative and significant relationship between social support and anxiety when emotional intelligence is controlled. The ability of emotional intelligence variable to anxiety is 21.3% and the ability of social support variable to anxiety is 19.9%. The level of emotional intelligence on the subject is in the moderate category, the level of social support on the subject is included in the moderate category, and the subject's anxiety is included in the medium category.
