Abstract
fire is a fire that burns, whether small or large in a place that we do not want, harm is generally difficult to control, fire is one of the events that is not desired by every human being. This incident often occurs either due to environmental factors or community negligence. With the classification of the fire is expected to be easier or faster and more precisely double the selection of blackout media that will be used to carry out blackouts. The importance of knowledge about fires in the community is one form of non-structural mitigation. The mitigation process is strongly influenced by the completeness and readiness of self-readiness that has been carried out by the government. In addition, the community is also a very important supporter in conducting fire disaster mitigation. The purpose of this research is to develop a virtual reality-based simulation learning media, to increase vigilance and education to the public about the evacuation of fire disasters. VR simulations are the right means because they can provide a picture of real problems in the virtual world that is displayed 360 °. Development methods using Research and Development (R&D, with ADDIE development model with Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. This media trial was conducted to the community as many as 30 participants in the Surakarta area. Before the trial to the media community was validated by the validator of PTI UMS Lecturer as many as 3 people. From the evaluation of validators, a percentage of the eligibility value of 90,97% who fall into the category is very feasible. To find out the acceptance of media to the public, evaluation is carried out using questionnaires. Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) gets Cronbach's alpha value for PU aspect 0.69, for PEU aspect 0.663, for ATU aspect 0.614, and for ITU aspect gets a value of 0.670 from all four aspects it can be concluded that the community response regarding virtual reality-based educational simulation learning media is very good and the public agrees if this learning media is used for virtual-based educational simulation learning media for fire disaster evacuation.
