Abstract

This study was shown to analyze the quality of economic development outcomes in Central Java Province in 2016-2019 as measured using the Human Development Index. This study aims to analyze how the Maqashid Syariah concept can have an influence on economic development. Maqashid Syariah has 5 basic pillars, namely the Religion Index (ad-Dien), Soul Index (an-Nafs), Intellect Index (al-'Aql), Heredity Index (an-Nasl), Wealth Index (al-Maal). The five bases are converted into several indicators of secondary data obtained from various sources. The analysis tool in this study uses panel data, which is a combination of time series and cross section data. The results showed that simultaneously the Religion Index, Soul Index, Intellect Index, and Wealth Index had a significant effect on the development of the Human Development Index in the Regency / City of Central Java Province. While the Hereditary Index has no effect on the Human Development Index.
