Abstract

This study aims to find out how the role of Baznas Surakarta in the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector affected by Covid-19. This research uses qualitative methods and data collection methods. This research was conducted on December 7, 2021. From the results of the study, it was found that the existence of the Baznas Surakarta was beneficial for the MSME sector affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The MSME Empowerment and Support Program is carried out by giving capital money, business tools, business assistance and monitoring to mustahiq in Surakarta so that those concerned can run or even develop their business. On the other hand, it is necessary to pay close attention to the selection of mustahiq candidates in the hope that these funds are used in accordance with what should be intended and not used for other interests.
