Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the variables of population, City/Regency Minimum Wage (UMK), education, and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Central Java Province during 2017-2020. The analytical technique used in this research is panel data analysis. The results of this study explain that simultaneously the population, City/Regency Minimum Wage (UMK), education, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) simultaneously affect the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT). While partially the population variable has no significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), the City/Regency Minimum Wage (UMK) has a significant and positive effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), education has no significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) has a significant and negative effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT).
