Abstract
Initially narcotics and illegal drugs (psychotropics) were drugs needed in the medical world, but they were often misused by irresponsible parties. Narcotics currently do not only attack the general public but also law enforcement circles, one of which is members of the TNI. Military members who commit narcotics crimes will be subject to criminal sanctions in accordance with Law Number 35 of 2009 if they are proven to have committed narcotics crimes. Article 6 of the Criminal Procedure Code explains that military members who commit criminal acts can not only be sentenced to a basic sentence but can also be subject to additional penalties, the additional types of punishment are dismissal from military service, demotion and revocation of certain rights. The existence of this law can be used by judges in considering a decision in the case of narcotics crimes committed by members of the TNI as law enforcers who are used as good examples by the general public.
