Abstract
Adolescence is an important period in human development. At that time, humans began to look for identity in order to prepare themselves for adulthood. Adolescents are human potentials that need to be exploited, so that guidance is needed for them to bring about change for the better. However, the fact is that the potential of youth in Indonesia at this time has not received special attention from both the local government and the surrounding community. This is evidenced by the distribution of youth activities and potentials that are not followed by the development of positive facilities that accommodate them. Karanganyar Regency is one of the regencies in Indonesia that does not yet have special facilities for teenagers to carry out various activities and potentials such as skills, sports, and art. Through the design of the Youth Center, it is hoped that it will be able to provide facilities and a place to develop character, potential, socialize with peers, accommodate various positive activities, and develop youth resources in Karanganyar Regency. The discussion method used is descriptive-qualitative using primary data obtained through direct field observations and secondary data from a literature review. From the results of the analysis, the final result is the design of the Karanganyar youth center as a space for interaction and talent development with an architectural approach to Regionalism. In the Karanganyar youth center building, the design concept of Regionalism Architecture is applied to the facade and roof of the building. In addition, the design of the Youth Center is expected to be a solution related to youth issues that are currently happening, especially in the Karanganyar Regency area.
